Identified as a single cell clone of 4T1 (ATCC CRL-2539) with high propensity to metastasize spontaneously to bone, causing fractures and/or hind limb paralysis. Primary tumor growth properties similar to those of 4T1. It has applications for cancer research and is used for analysis of genes that regulate metastasis of breast cancer and/or drugs that might reduce spontaneous metastasis in immune competent Balb/c mice.
